(Frequently Asked Questions)
Q. WHY CAN'T I TAKE FOOD OUT OF THE DINING HALL?
A. Maxwell Student Union Dining Hall is an “all-you-care-to-eat” facility offering a wide variety of meal choices seven days a week. You are welcome to dine on all you wish during each visit. However, due to the pricing structure, food cannot leave this area.
Uncontrolled take-out would lead to much more costly meal options, as well as lead to food safety issues.
Q. WHY CAN'T I USE MY UNLIMITED PLAN OR MY 14 MEALS PER
WEEK PLAN FOR A FRIEND TO EAT AT THE DINING HALL?
A. These two meal plans are designed for your use only. The Unlimited Plan gives you the opportunity to dine in the dining hall as frequently as you like. The
14 Meals Per Week Plan allows customers entry into the dining hall once per meal period. However, you are permitted to use your Dining Dollars to purchase meals for family and friends in the dining hall.
Q. DO THE CAMPUS DINING MEAL PLANS CARRY OVER FROM ONE
SEMESTER TO THE NEXT?
A. Only the 25 Block Meal Plan rolls over from fall to spring. It does not roll over from spring to fall.
Q. DO MEAL PLANS AND DINING DOLLARS EXPIRE?
Residential Meal Plans expire at the end of the semester. The 25 Block Meal Plan for Non-Residents expires at the end of the spring semester. However, Dining Dollars funds "roll forward" indefinitely.
Q. ARE THERE DINING SERVICES EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS, AND IF SO, WHAT ARE THEY?
Absolutely! We have opportunities at many of our dining facilities, and we always encourage students to seek employment with us. Student schedules are flexible with great benefits. As the world leader in managed food services, we encourage you to join us.
Q. WHO CAN PURCHASE A MEAL PLAN?
All students and staff can purchase meal plans. Meal plans provide you the opportunity to dine on well-balanced, nutritious meals throughout the semester regardless of in pocket cash. This flexibility comes with all meal plans and Dining Dollars. We offer a variety of retail locations and an "all-you-care-to-eat" facility.
